Apparel Policies & Guidelines

St. Albert Ringette Association Apparel Policies& Guidelines

As we gear up for the forthcoming season, we would like to share important updates regarding our association branding and apparel policies!  These policies are being introduced to

  1. To ensure the same vector files is being used for SARA logo(s), and the same colours are being used for printing, embroidery, silk screening, etc.
  2. To bring awareness to the association, and ensure players are representing the association.
  3. Standardize on apparel items to allow items to be current for more than one season, so players can wear until they outgrow it.
  4. To lessen the financial burden on families, and the need to purchase “team branded” apparel each year.

As an association we are excited to announce a new apparel contract with GoLogo, and they will be the official supplier for all our apparel and game pants for the 2024-2025 season.  As part of this new partnership, we will have an online store that will show all items available for purchase, including pricing.   There will be an option to purchase items individually, or as a team if budget allocations are allotted.

Commencing the 2024-2025 season, we will implement the following guidelines:

  1. Individual teams are not permitted to use the SARA logo on any clothing items.
  2. Primary team clothing, such as hoodies, sweatshirts, or jackets, shall exclusively feature the SARA logo, and will be provided by SARA or purchased through the team store.
  3. Teams with budget allocations for additional items may purchase team-branded gear, excluding the SARA logo. Sponsor logos are permissible on these items.
  4. The SARA team store will open before the season, with certain items being delivered prior to Turkey Ring.
  5. All teams are encouraged to use the association's official apparel supplier for team-specific branded items.

For the 2024-2025 season, in support of this initiative, SARA is pleased to announce the following programs:

  1. Go Logo has been named as the association’s official apparel partner. They will provide direct and personalized service to all teams, and for all team store orders.
  1. Included with registration, each player will receive a SARA branded sweatshirt and toque, so that all players can positively represent SARA in the community.

This decision has been made with careful consideration of several factors that contribute to the overall success and unity of our association:

Promoting Unity and Community Spirit:

Wearing the St. Albert Ringette Association logo fosters a sense of unity and community spirit among all teams. It reinforces the idea that we are part of a larger organization working together toward common goals.

The visibility of association-branded gear plays a pivotal role in attracting and recruiting young athletes as well. When potential recruits witness athletes proudly donning clothing adorned with the association's logo, it serves as a powerful and positive representation of the organization. This visibility not only showcases a thriving and cohesive community but also instills a sense of belonging and pride associated with being part of a specific sports association. The visual impact of association-branded gear serves as a silent ambassador, leaving a lasting impression on the minds of young athletes and their families, ultimately contributing to the recruitment and growth of the ringette community.

Cost Efficiency and Timeliness:

Ordering clothing with a single, standardized logo is more cost-effective. This approach allows us to leverage bulk discounts, ensuring that teams can obtain high-quality branded clothing at a reasonable cost, and with a quicker turnaround.

Many families express reservations about investing in new team-branded clothing items each year due to the associated costs and the limited utility of these items post-season. Understandably, the financial burden of purchasing new apparel annually can be a concern, especially when considering the rapid growth of young athletes. Additionally, many families find that these items are rarely worn outside of the season, leading to a sense of wastefulness. In light of these considerations, there is a desire among some families for a more sustainable approach, perhaps reusing team clothing or adopting a longer refresh cycle to balance the pride of team identity with practical and economical considerations.

Ease of Communication:

Having a standardized logo on team clothing makes communication and coordination easier during events and activities. It facilitates the identification of St. Albert Ringette teams, streamlining logistics and enhancing overall organization.

Professional Representation:

Presenting a cohesive and professional image is essential, especially during events, tournaments, and competitions. The St. Albert Ringette Association logo on team clothing reflects a unified front and showcases a professional image to spectators, sponsors, and other teams.

Brand Recognition:

Uniformity in clothing promotes brand recognition for the St. Albert Ringette Association. When teams wear clothing with our logo, it contributes to a stronger association identity, making it easier for others to identify and associate our teams with St. Albert Ringette and with ringette in general.

We understand the pride and identity that individual team logos bring. However, we believe that the benefits of a unified approach with the St. Albert Ringette Association logo far outweigh the individual team considerations. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to the success and growth of our association.
